Andy's Haulage - Lot Clearing to Landscaping

Andy McGinn started his business in 1988 with a backhoe and a single axle truck. Short-term contracts led to long-term contracts with Bell Canada, Peterborough Utilities Commission & Cogeco allowing Andy's Haulage to expand to five backhoes, dual axle trucks, tandem trucks, and a support staff of 25.

Andy's business was created with the vision to provide a legacy for his son Anthony, who was 14 at the time. In 2001, after many years of successful service, Andy was ready to downsize, allowing himself more time with his family and Anthony was ready to assume a percentage of Andy's Haulage, and thus AMTECH was born.

While Andy is dedicated to his business, a good family life takes precedence. Happily married for 31 years to Julie, they are blessed with a daughter Tammy, an accomplished nurse, and Anthony and his wife Georgina, who brought them their first grandchild, a beautiful little girl named Jaden, two years old.

Andy and his family reside in Apsley, and he proudly supports his community as a member of the Apsley Lion's Club and the Apsley Legion - Branch 381. He also acted as the Vice-President of the Apsley Minor Hockey League for many years.
